About our Pastor - Bishop Oscar J. Palmer, Sr.

Bishop Oscar J. Palmer, Sr. began his journey of faith at the Richmond House of God Church in 1988. He served faithfully under the late Bishop James Bishop, eventually becoming Assistant Pastor, then appointed Pastor, and was consecrated Bishop on July 26, 2019, during the House of God National General Convocation. He also serves as State Superintendent for Virginia and Washington, D.C., providing leadership and guidance to churches across the region.
Bishop Palmer holds an Associate Degree in Human Service Management from the University of Phoenix and is a senior at Liberty University, pursuing a BS in Religion with a focus in Christian Counseling.
A devoted shepherd and mentor, Bishop Palmer emphasizes prayer, Scripture, and living a life that glorifies God. His ministry reflects humility, strength, and unwavering faith, touching countless lives in the church and community.

He is blessed with a loving family: Wife – Monica Palmer; Children – Oscar II (Ashley), Orlando (Dominique), O’Neil (Danielle), Kaila Jones (Lamont); Grandchildren – Arianna, Joseph III, Shiloh, and the late Julianna.
